Day Trip In Thailand
The Thai beach massage is incredibly popular. From the beaches of Phuket to Samui to Pattaya, you will find these places every couple of hundred yards along the beach. In the more built up resorts where hotels have beach fronts such as Chaweng and Lamai in Samui, the beach massage signs may be only 20 or 30 yards apart as they vie for trade.

All beach massages are disturbingly similar, they consist of a bamboo security to keep off the sun, some mattresses to lie in and regularly between 3 and 5 middle-aged ladies all wearing the same colour polo shirts, yellow pink and orange seeming to be the favourites.

I will put my hand up now and confess that I do not see the point in Thai beach massages, the only thing that I can see they have that is better than a street massage shop is that you do not have to move far to get massaged, however this small advantage is outweighed significantly in my concept by:
A) You already have gunky sun tan oil on you
B) You are probably covered in sand
C) You are probably covered in salt
D) The massage is outdoors so you will continue to sweat
E) All the beach is watching you
F) The ladies have been sat exterior in the sun all day!!!!
G) The mattresses include elements of A, B, C and D
All of the above in my concept are exactly the opposite of what I require in a massage, I like to be properly showered, not be sweating because I am in an air conditioned environment, have some privacy so that I can snore in peace, have ladies that smell of Tiger Balm rather than sweat and have the use of a freshly laundered towel and a spotlessly clean mattress cover. None of which are available with a Thailand beach massage.
However, as I said this is only my concept and if you are sat on a Thai beach you will see that an awful lot of population disagree with me. The only time that I do use the beach massage girls is if they are attached to the hotel that I am staying in and I see them every day on the way to the beach, I may then request them back for a late afternoon session in my room, especially if I have gotten a diminutive too much sun. By letting g them loose on my Aloe Vera and lying in a cool room the sunburn can be dealt with whilst at the same time maybe having a diplomatic snooze. I am much more likely though to get showered and make my way over the road to a general massage shop and take my Aloe Vera with me as there is all the time the danger that question F will rear its ugly head if you have the beach massage girl do you in the late afternoon.
Thailand beach massage cost. Amazingly you can expect to pay more for having the massage on the beach, prices tend to be set by the management of the hotel as the beach massage need a base, they cannot just set up tent on the main beach, the hotel of procedure take their cut as well. An midpoint price for traditional massage is 300 to 400 baht per hour on the beach, add an additional one 100 baht if you wanted oil massage. Not my cup of tea thanks!

Day Trip In Thailand
Rottnest Island is one of those places that everybody should visit, at least once. Placed some 18km off the coast of Perth, it is an Island that has fullness of history, mind blowing beaches and a whole lot to do. It is home to unique animals known as Quokka’s, which are found only in one other place in the world (in the mainland of Australia). They are basically a small wallaby, and they are incredibly tame and cute. Rottnest Island has some of the best beaches in the Western Australia, and even the world as a whole. If you are into fishing, snorkeling, surfing or just lazing on the beach Rottnest Island is for you.

Day Trip In Thailand
You can get to the island via ferry, plane or helicopter. The ferry is the most favorite choice (because its cheapest!) and there are a few associates that will take you there. Whether you want to just laze nearby on the beach all day long, or you want to explore the pristine waters and masses of fish, you are able to do so at your own pace. The island has no secret cars, meaning the only vehicle is via a circle route bus, or you can bike or walk. If you are feeling rich, you can even pay someone to ride you nearby the island in the back of a trike!

Accommodation varies from campsites right through to luxurious chalets right on the beach. The island is self contained, and even has its own set of wind turbines to generate power. There is a recycling station, sewage rehabilitation plant and an airstrip. You can visit Rottnest Island for a day trip, but if you settle to stay for a few nights you are able to book accommodation. Make sure you book in develop though; this place is seriously popular. I’d advise not going in between November 20 and December 10, as the school celebrations are on then and you will find the island is transformed into a place you’d rather not be!
I’ve had the privilege of going to Rottnest Island many times, and always enjoyed it. You can take your own boat to the island (check out the boating rules first) and a lot of people will stay on their boats for a weekend. If you are into fishing, spear fishing, snorkeling or Scuba diving it is heaven. Crayfish (and other maritime life) are abundant and there is always something to see. It’s time to add Rottnest Island to your pail list!

Day Trip In Thailand
Around the world trips are a fantasy for most, and a very economic reality for few. Any of my clients refuse to believe they can see ten countries for the price of three just by a itsybitsy extra planning.

Day Trip In Thailand
I once purchased the following:

Sydney>Singapore>Saigon>Kathmandu>London>Toronto>San Francisco>Sydney
Total cost? 50. That isn’t a typo.
The presume I was able to purchase these flights at such as discount was that I purchased them in bulk, known as a “Round The World” ticket. They work like a wholesale store: large tour agencies buy thousands of tickets at a time and sell them individually to travelers. If you purchase then tickets at once (rather than a appropriate round trip) you get a great discount. I love the look at people’s faces when I show them how to see more of the world for the same estimate of money. Here’s how you do it:
Avoid flying to “off the beaten path” destinations. The major hubs of the world are commonly cheaper to fly to than secondary airports, and this is especially true if you’re buying in bulk. Think of your round the world marker as a general summary of where you’d like to go; for example, don’t comprise every city in Asia you want to see, choose a flight into Bangkok (the largest southeast Asian hub, and therefore the cheapest) then frame the rest out when you get there. I advise choosing one or two major hubs for each continent you want to visit, as this keeps your flight costs down while also providing flexibility along the way.
Include covering segments. Once you have a general frame of dream destinations, fill them in using covering segments. For example, you could purchase a flight from Sydney to Bangkok, then tour overland from Bangkok to Beijing (another cheap hub) before flying to London. The covering segment allows you to see more of the countryside between these two cities, and add Any new countries to your itineraries. Furthermore, you’ll save more money traveling by train than by plane (one ways are often the most costly way to fly).
Add stopovers into your trip. I used this to my advantage on my last round the world adventure. The itinerary had a layover in Singapore (which I hadn’t planned on visiting), which essentially gave me a free trip to Singapore! Before purchasing a round the world ticket, ask your tour agent if they permit stopovers like this; most do.
Go big or go home. Round the world trips grow less costly the longer you’re gone. My guidance is to take at least six months (preferably a year) for a trip such as this. You’ll find that by flying to ten destinations, Any will be super cheap (e.g. Thailand, India, Nepal, Argentina). If you plan accordingly, you’ll be able to expand your trip by spending more time in these areas. A friend of mine spent two weeks in Bali with just sufficient money for food and board. He hadn’t planned on visiting Bali, but it was a stopover, so he took advantage of it. Those two weeks in paradise cost him less than three days in London. Use this economic differences to your advantage.
Around the world trips deserve more attentiveness than they get. Not only can you save a ton of money by batching Any dream destinations together, you often find yourself in countries (and situations) you never expected. If you are interested in pricing out a few separate options, I highly advise using airtreks.com.
